Having some truck issues Empty Having some truck issues

Post by John 6/5/2012, 7:41 pm

I wasnt sure where to put this. Im hoping to pick some of your brains because Id like to save time and Ive lost my wiring diagrams for this truck. I have a 1994 Chevy Silverado with a 4L60e. Anyway Ive been having some issues with it for some time now and Ive decided to try and get them resolved but Im stumped and I have very limited tools/resources where Im at. A while back this truck started cutting out for some reason going down the road. At the same time the speedometer was jumping all over the dash and the odometer would increase mileage while sitting still and still does this even without a vss signal. The truck wont shift out of first either and the engine cuts out at the exact rpm that it should be shifting at. The cutting out and not shifting issues seem related but Im stuck on where to go from here and need some other heads on this one. Of course there arent and codes either, damn tbi's. My next step is probing the wiring harness, specifically the wiring for the vss and vss buffer. Figured Id see what some of you thought. Heres a list of what I know is good and working properly. VSS, vss buffer, vss connector, pcm, shift solenoids. Also Ive tested everything under the hood as far as sensors, ignition, and fuel just to be sure.

Have you been to Jareds house lately? He has three trucks and a car on his lawn and his fourth truck isn't even there right now lol. He wont buy another truck, especially one with an electrical issue.
