trim molding
ive got a 91 fox body and i want to remover the black trim molding that wraps around the car my question is if i remove this is it just 3m tape holding it or is it drilled thru the body?

Tape on the doors. Clips on the fenders I think if memory serves. Tape behind the doors. Of course the bumpers are molded.

thanks, decided i better not take it off since the bumpers are molded it wouldnt look right if i just had it on the bumpers lol

Ya. The trim can be painted the body color down the road if you prefer not to have the black belt moldings.

Also found a neat trick... If your door molding is like most, wavy. If you remove them, you'll notice there is a thin strip of metal in them that often gets bent on way or another and causes the whole molding to appear wavy.
If you remove that strip, the door molding will lay flat when you reapply it. I think ford put the metal in there for ease of installation.
