lower control arm recommendations? Empty lower control arm recommendations?

Post by Vandy9303 4/25/2012, 8:41 pm

You know I've owned maybe 10 mustangs, never had a control arm bushing issue until my 03 (probably because of the break neck torque of the 2v). Now the shelby is having the same issues.
Sooooo if I'm doing lowers I'm doing uppers. What does everyone recommened? Looking at maximum motorsports for the lowers and the roush relocation kit for the uppers and roush uppers. I love roush's suspension on a 4.6L. Not sure how they would feel on my heavy pig.

Any insight

All the above you really can't go wrong. My favorite were American Autosports... But there were only one set made and Casi is sporting those.

sounds like for a non adustabel set they are all pretty much the same, just depends on what bushings you want and what name you want to pay for?

Ya. It's advisable to go with an adjustable upper and relo brackets with what ever setup you're going with. ESPECIALLY if you're lowered.

Even stock ride height cars need adjustables. The instant center is is somehere around the front wheel, when lowered its past the front bumper. Weight transfer wasn't in the equation during development.
