Re: deatailing......cough...jerry......
I think Jerry gets quite a bit from detail supply warehouse here in Tulsa/Broken Arrow.
I've had good luck with meguires products over the counter. I love the Tech Wax. Also I'd do a clay bar over your car. On mine I was surprised how much crap was in the paint. You'll see quite a bit of difference after that.

Re: deatailing......cough...jerry......
Im a Griots buffer with Wolfgang products fan. Wolfgangs is not cheap, but man does it work.
Griots Random Orbital
Lakewood CCW pads
Pennicle Clay Bar
Wolfgangs Total Swirl Remover
Wolfgangs Glaze
Wolfgangs Triple gloss sealant (this sealant is bad ass but expensive)
Fat Bobs Wax (Detail Supply Warehouse)
I also use the Quick Detailer from Detail Supply Warehouse for quick cleanup.

I need to take a quick trip over there and get some new stuff...
Re: deatailing......cough...jerry......
Hey papa smurf why don't you load some of that stuff up and come do a product demo down here?
Hows the groits buffer? I'm always paranoid about burning thru my paint.

Re: deatailing......cough...jerry......
I have a griots buffer and a high speed polisher. The Griots is the way to go. You can not burn your paint. It moves in a random orbital direction so it is never spinning in one spot and building up heat. It will build heat which helps it to cut into the clear coat and do its job but not enough to melt through. The griots is very safe for amateurs. Plus it has a lifetime warranty.
I like the detail supply products they work good with the buffer. There are better products out there, but you get pretty good bang for the buck out of the Detail supply stuff. Autogeeknet is a good resource, but be careful, you can build a $1,000+ wish list really quick.
