Let the modding begin!
I never was one to have much patience...so here I go trying to line up all my future mods.
So far I've redone the stereo system and window tinting.
I also installed a ford racing resonator eliminator and a blue Airaid filter.
Currently lining up some interior buttons and switch covers / Chrome.
I'm trying to find some good center caps for our stock SVT wheels (2011). Anyone have any experience replacing them for these particular wheels? I was thinking some cobra caps but not sure what ones to get. The "SVT" is a little plain, IMO.
Then performance mods...I'll definitely need some help in this area. I"ve looked at everything from tunes to pulleys to throttle bodies to driveshafts. All pretty expensive, which is why I"m starting with the interior trim :-) My subwoofer magnet on my Diamond 12" weighs about 40 lbs! So...if I spend 700 bucks I can negate that weight with a 1 piece driveshaft lol. Are those NGK TR6 plugs ONLY for when you increase your supercharger pressure? I"m apprehensive about pulley mods because as I understand it, it will void the warranty correct?

I would probably do pulley, tune and revan racing c&r heat exchanger first. I wouldn't worry about the driveshaft, unless you plan on drag racing or road racing a lot. I would probably also do rear upper control arm to get rid of the wheel hop, if you haven't felt it yet you soon will.
As for warranty, you shouldn't have many problems, not saying this will happen but if you put a pulley on it and it breaks a rod, then of course that won't be covered. As long as it's not related to new tune you should be good to go, you can always return it back to stock! :)

I'm with David on this one. A pulley and tune will run you the same amount you were planning on spending for a driveshaft. With the added 100hp you will quickly forget the added weight. I am running a Jon Lund tune and have not had any issues with it, car runs great.
Careful with the mod bug! It can get expensive ;)
TR6 plugs are for when you up the boost
As long as the tune is in order I don't see you needing to worry about warranty, but know that they will deny you a motor claim if the tune is found to be the culprit. I trust my Lund tune!! No detonation in the hottest of hot weather, he really does a great job

Ok...so you all have convinced me to get the Pully + Tune package.
I have seen others get a cobrajet throttle body which is wider than the stock one...the part is pretty expensive but seems like the increases air flow (and nice pretty look) would be good. I think it's 65mm twin bore...but I"ve seen other brands at 70mm and cheaper?? What do ya'll think of throttle body also?
David, YES I think I have experienced wheel hop. I am concerned about adding HP and not having the wheels stay on the ground...especially around corners on slightly bumpy roads. Maybe it's my stock tires as well? But I'll at least wear those out first :-) Can you point me to the needed part?

No need to make more power if you can't control what you have. I recomend a good suspension setup first then bigger brakes.

And keep in mind the 2011+ are different than the 2010 and older. Some sites list them as the same but they're not.

If you like where the power is at right now and want more control of the car with suspension...definitely go that route. Look into some fixed Lower control arms to compliment the upper adjustable control arm.

Your stock G2s are good tires for turning corners, they still dont like forward excelleration and will spin/hop if you are launching from a dead stop.
As far as throttle body, there are many choices. Right now I wouldnt throw one on until you know exactly the route you are going to take. There are lots of options to adding power (Smaller upper Pulley (adds boost), 10%-15% overdrive lower pulley (adds even more boost), Throttle body, Ported Blower, Ported Supercharger Elbow, Blower swap.
Once you have a plan, the other things kind of fall into place.
I have a 2.59 smaller upper pulley with a Jon Lund tune. My plans are to go lower pulley for more power with the addition to a throttle body, OR just pull the blower and slap on a TVS supercharger (which are getting cheaper and cheaper) right now $2700 or so.

Well...that is one avenue...but I'm afraid how much this would be, installed? Now weight that against pulley/tune etc etc.
By the way, does anyone here have an MGW shifter? I'm having the 1-2 grind problem and it really sucks! I know that alone will not fix it, but I'm just asking anyway...might get one if I end up having the whole thing rebuilt anyhow.

Paul (BMMC1) has the MGW. I'm sure he can chime in here. Also mike (SUPERSNAKE) has one for his new ride but I don't believe it's been installed yet.

I installed it shortly after getting the car. I never had any problems with the stock unit. But I read on SVTPERFORMANCE, it solved a lot of peoples problems.

i also have the mgw and love it. i ran the stock setup for a while knowing it was by far the best shifter i ever had. then i got the mgw and its amazing what those guys did. i recomend this as a top of the list mod.
and as for the blower kit it was easy as pie and a lot of fun to install. the insrtuctions with the kenne bell kit are great very detailed and lots of pics. the headers are a different story they were no fun but i was going for all the power i could get.

i have to say i would also suggest just a tvs swap. it's a very simple swap and then get tuned and you will have more than enough power for the street and plenty for the track also. that along with a set of LCA's and relocation brackets.

About superchargers...I know how they work but I'm trying to think conservation of energy here.
Increasing PSI would result in a slight DECREASE in gas mileage, correct? Not that I care too much, mine's already in the pits lol. But it should require a little more work for the engine to turn it (with back pressure), which means you are using more fuel. Then, to boot you'll add more fuel in the chamber, but that will be offset a little by more "bang for the buck".
On another note, I noticed my oil pressure was about 75% today after doing a few bursts of speed. Is that a normal level? Also, it was 107 degrees out, so I imagine that had something to do with it?
And when you say TVS, is there a certain brand? I see ford racing has an upgraded supercharger...but then all these other ones. What is the most bang for buck? Is this something someone with "moderate" skills can swap out...is it basically plug and play?
Would this negate the need for a pulley kit like I was looking at? I was gonna do pulley/throttle body/tune. Still might.
Then other suggestions I have had are a new heat exchanging unit to reduce heat soak, and lower control arms. Also MGW shifter which I am leaning HEAVILY towards since it's not that expensive and I want the black with white stripes ball :-)
IF I was to get some of these parts, is there anyone on this forum that would be interested in helping me install? Actually...it would be mostly YOU LOL because I'm not too experienced. I would certainly be willing to drive somewhere to get it done right. Maybe a little payment, perhaps in beer or food, and then of course just having fun doing it/hanging out.
Right now I only have enough for some interior styling and maybe MGW shifter, but in a couple months I should have enough for some serious mods.

1) Correct, you will see a drop in fuel economy if your foot is in the gas as the added PSI will require added fuel to keep the proper Air/Fuel mixture. BUT your supercharger also has a bypass valve which allows you to drive around without any boost pressure at all, just as your stock supercharger does currently. So ultimately you wont see the gas mileage drop until you put your foot in it.
2) When you say oil pressure, are you referring to the oil usage readout? or the gauge on the dash?
3) TVS is a brand/type of supercharger ( Twin Vortices Series), its a roots type blower but far more efficient than our stocker. This would probably be the best bang for your buck as its the cheapest of the other superchargers and will provide for all the HP/TQ you can handle, UNLESS you are wanting MORE. 650-700 rwhp is attainable with this setup and you would not need the smaller pulley for the TVS. Only if you want to up the boost on the TVS to increase boost pressure for more power. I have provided a link to the TVS below

Its not too hard to swap out the stock supercharger setup, but I would suggest some club members help to install it. Im sure more than a few of us could lend a hand.
4) I would definitely suggest looking into a heat exchanger. In normal driving conditions (stop and go traffic) the added heat from the motor will create heat soak and deprive you of a noticeable amount of power. I am running Revan Racing C&R H/E (same as the Shelby HE) Link below

5) To reduce wheel hop I would suggest an adjustable upper control arm and fixed lower control arms. Should help keep the tires planted firmly to the ground.
*** If the supercharger route just isn't in the cards then I would suggest the pulley/throttle body/tune pkg you mentioned. Will give you a great increase in power and increase the fun factor most definitely.
