Yes that is a normal noise. If you ever see one of these up close and personal you will realize why they fail. They are small and have very little material.

Well I got some good news today. I called Darcy up this morning. I had no word yesterday. He said his service department director was suppose to call me last night ( I heard this and thought well here goes my day, and my blood was about to boil). He tells me it went to the service department director, went over his head to some service engineer, over his head to his boss, then eneded up at ford them selves before someone approved it. From what he tells me they were like "oh yeah that's a known problem order the parts and get his car back to him"

So parts are on order. I'm being told monday they should be here so hopefully tues/wed time frame ill get her back in my garage. But again we will see

To be continued........

Re: Clutch

Post by Vandy9303 on 7/18/2011, 5:58 pm

well i got the car back with mixed reviews. i got in he and pushed the clutch and about put my foot thru the floorboard. i wouldnt come out of gear either. i pumped the clutch pedal about 20 times and it started to feel more like a clutch. started the car up and she felt better. shifting felt back to normal. i probobly should have shut her down and told them to re-bleed the system but i didnt have time to deal with all that today. i drove her home and she felt great. the clutch engagment point is a lot different and the pedal is a lot lighter. im not sure if im a big fan of that or not. im sure it will grow on me but ive always had kinda a stiff pedal and have grown to like it. anyhow. i went to get off the freeway and again the clutch felt a little too light. (again maybe just me) i pumped her a few more times and it felt better. felt better all the way to the house after that. from what i understand the clutch and the brakes work off the same res. and ive had no brake issues. ill putt aroud in her for a few days and see how she does. i may just go ahead and re-bleed the system and see how that works. over all im pretty happy with it. those guys jumped thru some hoops for me and i know barrett stood up for me a few times. now i just need to get use to the new feel
