Whatever is recomended for your car. all you have to do is open your hood and look on the cap. If I'm correct, you're is a V6, I know the GTs run 5w20. Not sure what the V6's use... PROBABLY... the same.

My cap just says OIL. Does that mean I should just put any oil in? Even old stuff? The lable on mine is actually under the hood I believe.

If yours is a V6, I know 2005 and up calls for 5w-30.The GT 4.6 calls for 5w-20.Hope this helps.

CarDX would not even look it up. They'd put in 20W50 and charge you $500...

I ran 10W30 Royal Purple in mine. Advanced Auto Parts did not carry the 5W20 in Royal. I also put the K&N oil filter for it. Is that bad? Oh I think Brenspeed has a good price with free shipping I think on 6 QTs of Royal Purple.

Royal Purple oil Empty Oil Test

Post by okcreferee 8/20/2008, 12:34 am

Just wondering where the oil test was posted at.Would like to read what it says about M1 and RP.I did read about a test on a web site and it said that RP uses a type of additive that is not good for engines.I'll try to find where I read that at.
