Test N Tune April 1st
Had a blast guys....only got one good run in where the tires held up.
First run was a not so good 1.92 60ft, short shifted 1st, shifted second at 5400 and rode out 3rd and 4th
Managed a 12.0 @ 120.77 Almost an 11 sec run, so close. If I would have just launched a little harder! Shifted at 6k each time! DAMN! haha
Second run was horrid....wheel hop was insane! I thought my eyeballs were going to fall out. 60ft was a disgusting 2.150. 1st gear about rattled me to death so i short shifted to 2nd....2nd gear was 1st gears wheel hop all over again hehe....then I rode 3rd and 4th out.
Managed a 12.5 @ 120.39 MPH is there and good for deep 11s if I can get her to hook!
Pretty excited about this car...WOW is it fast. In love with this car hehe Weather was 71 degrees when I got there....tires held up a bit better. By the time I ran my 2nd and 3rd runs, it was around 49 degrees. Car felt a lot faster on the big end when the weather got cooler....I bet she had 122-123mph in her and the reason the tires wouldnt hold.
Going to be looking into an some suspension mods to keep the wheels from hopping in the future and maybe slicks for the rear. We'll see.
My 12.0 @ 120.77 slip Much improvement can be made on that 60ft alone

My car seems to have a gremlin. Will be doing some data logging today in hopes to pinpoint the issue.

Re: Test N Tune April 1st
Still need to figure out Davids issues....VMP told him his tune file is right for his Mods.
We are looking at other options like Fuel, timing, etc
Did some datalogging this afternoon, but we dont know what we are looking at to really pin point the issue.

Re: Test N Tune April 1st
Basically look at the iat temps and timing. I think on my tune it was running around 19 degrees and 20 some. OH, DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DDYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO DYNO
If its pushing 515 to 540 range everything normal as long as its not pulling timing out.

Re: Test N Tune April 1st
i cured all of my wheel hop with just a bmr adj upper with hd mount. worth every penny and eliminated the problem.Shelby10' wrote:Had a blast guys....only got one good run in where the tires held up.

Re: Test N Tune April 1st
Thanks Paul! Did the adjustable upper change ride quality or add any suspension noise at all?

Re: Test N Tune April 1st
All uppers make some noise, mine is not bad and really I don't really notice it now. Mine is j&m, I didn't go with the mount though, no need since upper is what fixes the problem.
