My next and future mod list
Here is a list of items i am either going to be installing soon or in the future if my other half allows me to. I believe I am getting the pulley and tune for Christmas...so check that off the list. Would love to do the Heat Exchanger next
1) VMP 2.59 pulley with Tune with XCAL3
2) Dual Pass Heat Exchanger w/ Dual Puller Fans made by
3) L&M 72mm Throttle Body
4) Reische Performance 07-10 GT500 170deg Performance Thermostat
And later on down the road:
5) Ford Racing 2010 GT500 Handling Pack
6) Tires that actually grip

Re: My next and future mod list
Good start. You will probably want to consider upper and lower control arms, adjustable panard bar and possibly relocation brackets.

Good idea. So Paul, how are you 60 footing without the relo brackets? What other suspension mods do you have?

Let me know how you like your NT05r's. I am on the lookout for better tires than the F1s. I should probably look into the CHE relo brackets once I am lowered.
Are you lowered? If so what kit?

Jarrod, if youre getting a pulley and tuner for Christmas, why not go with suspension and exhaust first?

After the pulley and tune...probably will be looking into the Roush Exhaust. Heard it sounds amazing.

Yeah Jarrod? Yancy, I think he doesn't want to be like me since that's my plan. Build the platform so it will handle the added power then get crazy with the ponies.

8) Roush upper control arm (To cure wheel hop)
:)[quote="Shelby10'"]
i would recomend this one.
http://www.hotpart.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=21 (adjustable since your lowering it. It will throw off your pinion angle)
with this mount

Oops I didn't mean for my comment to come off like that. I didn't see that you put links in your post. I though you were also saying go with the Roush. I see you suggested the J&M, I like it and it's cheaper!! I know first hand how Roush likes to play up their name on products.
Thanks for the link abd savings!!

Re: My next and future mod list
Here is my 02, wouldn't worry about the whole complete susp kit, buy some springs and tokico d-specs which are the same anyways and cheaper than ford ones.
Upper and lower control arms, uppers being adjustable, lowers not, don't worry about the upper bracket, just use stock one.
Relo brackets of course if your lowering, you know this already.
Anything vmp, nothing evo! :)

all i have done to suspension is adjutable upper with mount and cut a coil and a half off rear springs to bring the ass down a little. i was cuttin 1.7 60's with et streets. i was launchin pretty soft.
i took the route of make lots of power first then see if you can make it stick later.
ill definetly give a report on the nittos when the time comes. i think they will be a great summer tire

Yeah, I'd say 750rwhp is getting it done for ya!
My $0.02, get the tires first. Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to get any of your power to the ground.

Doubt I will be able to make the cruise, Lori is going to San Diego Saturday so I would have to bring 3 kids with me, don't think they would like that.
As for evo, do some research. You will be pretty safe if you get a package deal like Paul got because nobody at evo have anything to do with the tune since they have Jon Lund tuning. I have heard numerous horror stories of work they done there, two twin turbo motor on two seperate vehicle's, both cust spent upwards of 50k there! Evo basically told one of them to pick it up cause they couldn't get it to run right, come to find out the brand new motor was shot. EVO clamed Al Papito did the short block, but nothing was even balanced, looked like a 5 year old put it together. Funny thing is, both guys motors lasted 1000 miles with same identical problems. Just be careful out there, I have had nothing but good luck with lethal, vmp and jlp.
