the install begins...............finally
so yesterday the install began. i was able to get all of the big stuff done. the good news is that the 2010 heat exchanger worked just fine so i won't have to buy the smaller one that's for the 05-09. now the biggest thing is getting a spark plug gapper for the hto's, installing the kb bap, and getting the correct wiring extensions that are for my 07 since the 2010 extensions are different i guess. that's what edelbrock says anyway. i'd rather just cut, extend, and solder the other wires, but i'll have to see.
sorry if there are no pics of the install in progress, but i'm pretty sure there are plenty of write ups already done. i'll take some pic's of where it is now and the before pics maybe tonight.

one thing i've heard debated about is the cmdp's. i personally chose to modify my stock plates. all i ever hear is about how people say they'll fail or they don't want to chance it. well after over 10,000 miles since i did mine they were just as good as when i did them. every hole was still plugged. i used "quicksteel" to plug the holes.

update:
got tired of waiting for edelbrock to send me the correct wire extensions. i ended up just changing out the connector on one and soldering 2 other places where the connector was different. wouldn't you know it after i did all that the wires came last night after i was almost done soldering everything. hopefully edelbrock will let me return the extensions. only thing left to do now is do a final check on the install and reinstall the bumper. hoping i can get into the tuner tomorrow.
