Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Ok.. Got the drag radials mounted at lunch today. Went to wal mart to buy one of their helmets and the one at 71st and memorial doesnt have them. So I guess I will have to go to the one in BA tomorrow morning or something.

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
I got the helmet at Walmart in BA i was looking at. I think they are clearancing them all out. I needed to get one anyway so i dont have to always borrow. The drag radials I already had from a trade a year or so ago. They are the Nitto NT555R Extreme Drag's. I know everything else is better but I betcha they are better than wearing out my brand new street tires. Anyway. I should be out there in a bit.

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
That was fun. They are running the test n tune like the brackets now so guys can work on their dial ins. I made it the final 3 cars but I didnt get the by so I had to race the eventual winner. But they still gave me a free tech card so I can enter the bracket races on april 11th for free. They are going to give out 5K both days. Should be fun. It was humid and warm so I didnt run as fast as I wanted. My MPH was down a little and I ended up breaking out on the last run in the brackets with a 13.891 on a 13.90 dial in. That bites.. lol.. Otherwise I had passed the eventual winner on that pass and would have won had the car been a tick slower. I talked to 2004GTPony and Tim2002GT out there. The Yellow 02 is FAST.

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Thanks Brent! It was good talking to you and Derek(2004GTPony)! I got to talk to Ruger311 a little and he wasn't having any luck this afternoon. All in all, it was a good day for me. I ran my 3 best passes today. 12.24 @ 109.87, 12.16 @ 113.95, and an 11.94 @ 111.82! I am pretty pumped about the 11 sec timeslip! Only now I have to come up with a new goal for this year!

Congrats Brent on your 13.8!!! You are just as fast as a supercharged 427R....might even be faster
And Tim....WOW is all I can say...an 11 sec run...that must have just floored you (no pun intended).
Great job Brent and Tim. What did Derek and Ruger end up running?

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Had a good day at the track also.Sold all four helmets in about 20 mins.At 20 bucks a pop they went fast.Talked to derek, yancy, saw tim and steve.Sorry brent i didn't talk to you.I was looking for a 02 running closer to 12's than 14's.I did notice that the shelby was running 12.3's and doing a lot of spinning. There were 4 cars out there that will be on pinks in ennis texas in a few weeks.I really wanted to see justin so i could check out his cervini scoops.I am not at all happy with mine. Not sure i'm going to leave them on.

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Thanks Jarrod! I was a little surprised when it happened, but with the mph I had been pulling I knew it was possible.
Yeah, they definately did their part! 1.73 was my best 60".

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Derick Ran a 14.4 for his best time. Not bad considering the humidity. I think he is letting off before the finish line so I think his will go faster. He was going through the traps at 90. Since they changed the track a few years ago a lot of guys let off at the signs instead of pushing past them to the actual line.. I think he is ready to start modding. its stock right now. I got there late so I think most everyone was gone. I had to get front tires mounted. Mine were showing chords on the inside. I noticed it when i was changing my oil. Not safe that way.. lol..

Thanks for the offer but its not the allignment that is hte problem its the lowering springs. The caster camber plates dont have enough adjustment so the tires lean in at the top slightly. They were much worse when I got the car but I adjusted a bit out of it. NO biggie. I figured they would wear out on the insides at some point. Just need to keep an eye on them and get better caster camber plates at some point with more adjustment.

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Yea, that happens especially when you can't rotate due to size or directional tires. Some negative camber you can get away with, around -1.0 to -1.5 as long as you rotate tires. Good ole mustangs 1/2 degree camber adjustments.

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
If you don't want to get cc plates, you can get camber bolts. They will allow +/- 1* of correction. I got mine from Steeda a while back because I didn't have the $ for the cc plates. http://www.steeda.com/products/camber_adjust_bolt_set_struts.php
Thanks for the compliment David!(DBLDARE)

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Yea, never thought about camber bolts for sn95's, that would work just like s197's really, alot cheaper and fairly easy.

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Ok.. Someone is going to have to explain the bolts. I guess I am not visualizing how that works. I have CC plates they just dont adjust far enough so these may get it the rest of the way I just cant visualise how they work.

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Basically you cut a slot in one of your bolts holes in the struts so it can move forward and back. Then get a eccentric style bolt so you can push it forward or back. It will give you at least another 1/2 degree more camber, s197's work this way also.

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
hmm.. Might have to look into those at some point. Dont want to wear out the brand new tires too quick..

Re: SAT March 7th TRP Drags
Yea, I am not a fan of adjustable strut plates. The ones I installed one time on customers car where noisy sob's. Maybe it was just the brand, but I sure don't want popping/creaking noise when I turn.
