Its evo, what do you expect. You can get them cheaper elsewhere, look up asanti wheels. They are expensive still, but not 4600 expensive. I don't buy shit from evo due to their huge markup, they think they are the only ones that sell gt500 parts.

WOW....they look pretty cool. They must be forged wheels...and very very lightweight to be at that price

They are, 3 piece design, super nice wheels at a super price. They can paint the inserts any color you want.

OK, they are listed as 3 piece. What's so neato about that? I like the idea of being offset to put more tire under the car so that maybe 305's wouldn't stick out. Not much info on the Asanti option, but they have some great looking wheels too.

Check out true forged rims also, they have a good selection of 3 piece or 2 piece rims.

You'd think that I would go ahead and spend some money on my machine instead of finding new things to not spend my money on. Wheels and racing tires will come when I do the Stage II tune and suspension work (and maybe 373 gears) and am still pizzed off that I can't get any traction.....

Just ask Jerry about traction with a stage 2. Trust me, you will need uppers and lower, also better think about some kind of drag radials. You won't need the gears really with stage 2, you will have enough problems trying to hook it up with 3.31's.

Yeah but... 331's are NASCAR gears!

(I already know the answer to this, but...) Is there a good tire that works for both the dragstip and Hallett? How about a suspension setup that will do both?

I wonder how well the WATTS link would work with your setup?

WATTS works good for road racing, there is also fays2, both pretty much do the same thing, most road racing stuff. I bet Jeff (grabber ass orrange gt500) would know more about this stuff since he has road race susp.

Well I had a rather long post written up and when I tried to attach a link.......poof.....all gone.

Sorry but I don't have the energy to re-type it all.

If you're going to Hallett on March 21st, find me and we can talk. Until then, decide which is more important to you, road racing, or drag racing? There will be compromises one way or another.

P.s. road racing = lots more seat time + lots fewer broken parts beerdrink

Oh yeah, and I turned a 1:30.0x lap with those 3.31's..........

Okay, one thing I will re-type........FIX the suspension FIRST !!!!!! lol!

For about $3,000 you can have a setup that will make Hallett fun and challenging for years to come.

If I remember correctly there was a rant on modularfords.com about it. I could be wrong....it just stuck in my mind....I might be thinking of a different unit.

Whats out besides the Saleen watts and fays2? Is there a 3rd one?

Actually, I plan on fixing the suspension and going with a Stage II tune in one fell swoop. Anything else will just happen as it will. I think I prefer to do the road racing, but a little more grip at the stoplight would be welcome. If I was into stricktly drag racing, I think I would trick out an old fox body with the interior and everything not nailed down stripped clean.
