i personally doubt it. as long as you're not a sissy when it comes to engaging your ebrake your rear wheels won't turn no matter what gears you have in them. now i have seen people that just barely pull up on the ebrake and it wouldn't hold the car if you were to do that. even then i doubt it would start though, but that's where i'm not sure. i don't know how the auto start works. does it continue to attempt to start the car until it does actually start it or does it only go for a few seconds?

you should not leave your car in gear anyways, but it will start your car and will drive off! Someone from DH has done it, and it drove through his garage door.
